Honresfeld Care Home award winners
Honresfeld Leonard Cheshire Disability Care Home, in Littleborough, held the very first ‘Pride of Honresfeld awards’ to celebrate the work of the staff, volunteers and supporters of the home.
During the ceremony, on 19 June, awards were handed out for a variety of volunteering roles within the service and residents received awards for their volunteering contributions.
Amongst the winners were Jean Matthews and Jean Smithson who have been volunteering with the home since 1962. They received an award for their long service and valued contributions.
Louise O’Neill was recognised for her valued efforts in fundraising, after recently completing the London Marathon and raising £1,400 for Honresfeld.
Danielle Bradley, Volunteer and Activities Coordinator at Honresfeld said: “I would like to extend this thanks to all of our supporters who have supported us throughout the years in various ways. Their valued contributions improve the lives of disabled people.
“I would also thank the Worshipful Master from Freemasons Royds Lodge No: 816, Mr Stuart Kilpatrick, for presenting our awards to our supporters.”
