Efit released following robbery on Crawford Street
An efit of a man has been issued after a robbery left the victim with a fractured hand, nose and a bleed on his brain.
Shortly before 8am on Monday 8 June 2015 a 31-year-old man was walking to work Crawford Street, near to the junction with Trent Street, when a man asked him for the time.
He then attacked the victim, dragging him to the floor whilst he stole his mobile phone, and kicking him in the head as he left.
He ran off along Thames Street.
The man is described as white, pale complexion, between 5ft 8in and 5ft 9in tall, of medium to stocky build and was wearing a pale grey tracksuit with the hood up.
Detective Constable Donna Rollinson said: “Thanks to the help of the victim, we have been able to create an efit of the offender and I would urge people to take a good look at it.
“Did you see the attacker leave the scene or recognise the description? If so, we are keen to hear from you as soon as possible so we can bring the offender to justice.”
Anyone with information should phone police on 0161 856 8549 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
