A team from Springhill Hospice will be at the Hopwood Hall Summer Fun Day at the Middleton Campus on Saturday (20 June) with a stall and information about Springy’s Sprint or Stroll.

Another team will be at the Heywood 1940s day on Saturday with a vintage stall and tombola.

A team of five from Comfy Quilts in Middleton are setting off on a coast to coast bike ride today (Friday 19 June) to raise money for the hospice. Altogether the team will cycle 160 miles in two days. If anyone wants to donate to the teams fundraising, then they can do so by visiting:

Teachers and students from Middleton Technology School are taking part in their annual 10k today. This year the school have chosen to support the hospice with their fundraising.

A team of cyclists from Nationwide branches across Greater Manchester completed a sponsored bike ride from Manchester to Bury and back on Wednesday (17 June), in aid of the hospice.

Springhill Hospice will be at this year’s Rochdale Online Business exhibition, which takes place on Wednesday 23 September. A team from the hospice will be there with information about the hospice and its work.

Saturday 4 July
Springy’s Moonlit Sprint or Stroll

Join 500 frogs on the 10km sponsored walk in which those taking part receive a bespoke Springy onesie. Frogs will set off from Rochdale Rugby Union Club at 9.30pm. The entry fee is £18 and that includes your Springy costume and a medal.

Saturday 25 July
Summer Serenade

Held in the grounds of Springhill Hospice, the GMP Male Voice Choir, Rochdale Community Band and other supporting groups will entertain crowds on Saturday 25 July. Those attending can bring a picnic and a blanket along as the event is held outside. Tickets are £7.50, which includes a glass of wine.

Sunday 9 August
Open Garden Day

The Open Garden Day at Springhill Hospice gives guests the chance to tour the beautiful gardens of the Hospice. Held between 11am and 3pm, there will also be plants for sale, demonstrations throughout the afternoon, Springhill crafts, merchandise, tea and coffee, homemade cakes, word searches and colouring for the children.
