RBH employees and tenants are gearing up for an Apprentice-style challenge to raise money for their charity of the year, as Springhill Hospice hand over the keys to several of their shops for one week only.
Five teams of RBH members will each spend a day running one of the Hospice shops, using their enthusiasm and ingenuity to increase takings by as much as possible to support the RBH charity of the year.
Unlike the real Apprentice, no-one will suffer Lord Sugar's pointed finger of doom, but the team that raises the most money will receive a small reward, and the real winners are the beneficiaries of the extra money raised for Springhill Hospice.
The takeover days are:
• Tuesday 23 June, Middleton, 18-20 Wood Street
• Wednesday 24 June, Middleton, 18-20 Wood Street
• Wednesday 24 June, Heywood, 3 Market Street
• Friday 26 June, Rochdale (Oldham Road), 454/457 Oldham Road
• Friday 26 June, Whitworth, 543 Market Street
This is the second year that RBH and Springhill Hospice have run the shop challenge. Last year, the teams of RBH employees increased takings by £1500 over the course of a week.
Sue Kershaw, RBH Membership Manager, said: “Our five teams are brimming with good ideas to make sure that they raise as much money as possible for our fantastic charity of the year. If you’re in the area, please pop down and help our tenants and employees to help Springhill Hospice!”
