Littleborough Food and Drink Festival

Date published: 13 June 2015

The first ever Littleborough Food and Drink Festival took place today (Saturday 13 June), with organisers describing the event as “fantastic”.

Shops across Littleborough served up a range of food and drink.

Joanne Matthews, one of the organisers, said: “We went to a meeting and we said that we wanted to do this festival and everyone was saying we’ll do it next year but we decided to say no because we knew we could do it this year and we have done it. It's absolutely fabulous.”

Claire Aspinall added: “It has been amazing. Everyone who has taken part has done brilliantly and there has been such a such a good atmosphere in Littleborough. It was all about doing something for the community and it has been fantastic.

“We are hoping that we can continue with the festival and make it bigger and better every year.”

There was also face painting, entertainment by the Rock Choir, Wardle Band and live bands at 409, stalls and special offers in the shops on The Square.
