Volunteer group continue to transform canal
The Canal and River Trust Littleborough Canal Adoption Group completed another volunteer day on Sunday (7 June).
Volunteers Bob Furnell (group organiser), Wendy, Kevin and Derrick, along with Canal and River Trust worker, Terry Evans painted most of Durn Lock 47.
The group are working to transform the area around Lock 47 on Halifax Road to brighten it up and rejuvenate the area.
The group meet every first Sunday of the month and are now starting to meet during the week.
