REAG clean Central Mosque area

Members of the Rochdale Environmental Action Group cleaned Mere Street, William Street, Devon Street, Tweedale Street, Ann Street and Drake Street in Milkstone area.

The Imam and members of the management committee of the Central Mosque and many residents joined in to clean the mosque and the car park opposite the Central Mosque on Mere Street.

Ghulam Rasul Shahzad OBE, Secretary, said: “It was very encouraging to see so many people and the Imam of the Central Mosque joining us in the clean-up.

“If everyone in the Borough of Rochdale shows the same commitment and spend some time to clean their properties, we'll have a cleaner, greener and safer Borough of Rochdale.”
