The incident happened at around 1.30am on Saturday 8 March 2015 when a 25-year-old man, who was sat in the pool room drinking his pint, was approached by a man who began to shout at and act aggressively towards him.

The offender then punched the man in the face before he was thrown out of the premises.

The man is described as white, in his early 20s, between 5ft 6in and 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, with short black hair. He was wearing a navy blue t-shirt with a white logo and navy blue shorts. He was clean shaven and he spoke with an Irish accent,

Constable David Harrison from GMP’s Rochdale division said: “We are appealing to anyone who was in the pub at the time this incident took place, or perhaps saw the offender being thrown out afterwards, to call us and tell us what you saw.
