Pastors from Rochdale and Bielefeld during last years visit
Following a successful visit last year by some of the church leaders in Rochdale to Bielefeld, a group of Bielefeld church leaders are visiting Rochdale from the 4 to 8 June.
They will be staying with local church leaders and exploring Rochdale.
On Friday 5 June they will be meeting with Councillor James Gartside for a tour of our famous Town Hall and the award winning new council offices at Number One Riverside.
On the Saturday 6 June they will be joining Rochdale church leaders at their monthly prayer meeting then preaching at various churches across the town on Sunday 7 June.
Margaret Smith, Rochdale Town Centre Chaplain said: “This will be a good time to find out about what our twin towns are doing and to exchange ideas in how we can support our towns as each experience the challenges and opportunities of today’s economy.
“This visit of the Bielefeld pastors will be an anticipatory visit for them to return during the summer and bring more members of their churches for more times of sharing and celebrating.”
