Heywood left without power
Date published: 18 May 2015
Almost 2,000 properties were left without power this morning (Monday 18 May) across Heywood.
1,940 homes and businesses across the OL10 postcode lost electricity for just under an hour.
Engineers were sent to Heywood to fix the problem, which was due to a faulty underground cable, with power being restored to those affected at around 11:30am.
A spokesperson for Electricity North West said: “We are pleased to say that the power is now back on. Apologies for any inconvenience caused today.”
