Littleborough U3A comes of age
Date published: 15 May 2015
The chairman of Littleborough University of the Third Age (U3A) was presented with a certificate to confirm full membership of the Third Age Trust at their monthly meeting at Littleborough Coach House.
Although u3A only started in September 2014, this new U3A has more than 160 members and 18 different interest groups where third agers from Littleborough and district are learning French, Spanish or Italian, singing or walking, watching birds, playing bridge, doing crafts, discussing history or astronomy, books or current affairs. There is even a group learning to play the ukulele.
With a speaker at the Coach House every second Monday of the month and a wide range of outings and theatre visits on offer, there's something to do every day of the week.
