House fire on Windermere Road, Middleton

Fire crews attended a fire on Windermere Road, Middleton just before 11pm on Wednesday (13 May).
People were reported to be inside the property at the time, but once on the scene, firefighters searched the building and found no one inside.
Crews from Heywood, Blackley and Chadderton attended the incident, which was in a single story extension of a building and used three jets to extinguish the fire.
Crews were on the scene for around 90 minutes.
The cause of the fire is not yet known and will be subject to an investigation.
