St Clement’s Church coffee morning
St Clement’s Church, on Willbutts Lane, Rochdale held a coffee morning today (Saturday 9 May) to raise money for Water Aid and Christian Aid.
The event also included a cake sale and a raffle.
Church Warden, Colin Palmer said: “It has been a nice little event. People have come along all morning so it has gone well.”
The church decided to raise money for Water Aid and Christian Aid due to Christian Aid week taking place next week.
Mr Palmer added: “Water Aid is the chosen charity of the church so we wanted to raise money for that and then it is Christian Aid week next week so we thought we would combine the two things and raise money for them both.”
It is hoped that the event has raised £200, which will be split between the charities.
