New Victoria-Rochdale-Burnley-Blackburn train timetable available

Date published: 01 May 2015

The Northern Rail timetable leaflet number 36 from 17 May 2015 is now available. It includes the Victoria-Rochdale-Burnley-Blackburn service as separate pages at the back.

There are some trains additional to the existing Victoria-Todmorden trains.

These are late evening trains and may only be temporary whilst the Blackburn-Bolton-Victoria route is closed/curtailed due to the permanent way work at Farnworth Tunnel. This work is scheduled to be completed at the beginning of October.

These additional trains do give local stations, especially Smithy Bridge and Littleborough, a slightly better service in the late evening.

On Saturdays they will have a last train from Victoria at 23:01 instead of 22:56. Mondays to Fridays there will be an additional departure from Victoria at 22:50, usefully breaking up the hour gap between penultimate and last trains.

All trains will run as far as Blackburn except on Saturdays and Sundays when (apart from late evening trains) they will run to/from Clitheroe.

From Victoria:
Monday to Friday: The previous 05:56 to Tod will depart at 05:50 for Burnley line.
Departures at 56 minutes past the hour until 19:56, then at 21:01 and lastly 22:50.

Saturday: Departures 56 minutes past the hour from 06:56 until 19:56, then at 21:01, 22:01 and lastly 23:01.

Sunday: Departures at 40 minutes past the hour from 08:40 until 20:40 then, lastly 21:50.

Towards Victoria:

Additional train departs Blackburn at 22:36, Littleborough 23:19, Rochdale 23:26.
