Milnrow and Newhey councillors Allen Brett, Martin Rodgers and Neil Butterworth are assuring residents that Cedar Lane will be open for Election Day.
Cedar Lane has been temporarily closed from its junction with Newhey Road to its junction with Laburnum Lane to facilitate the safe installation of traffic signals.
Councillor Martin Rodgers said: “It is vital for democracy that the only polling station in Newhey is accessible by road. All three Labour councillors have received assurances that Cedar Lane will be fully open on Election Day.”
The polling booth is located at the Ogden Methodist car park at the top of Cedar Lane.
