Crime Scene Investigators at the scene off Albert Royds Street were human remains have been found
Human remains were found in a small wooded area near Albert Royds Street, Rochdale at about 9.30am today (Tuesday 21 April).
A forensic examination was carried out on a skull and further human remains were found.
It is unclear exactly how long the remains have been there.
An investigation has been launched and a team of Crime Scene Investigators are at the scene.
Inquiries are on going.
