Rochdale Council has announced that Bowlee Nursery in Middleton is blooming again following the arson attack that devastated the main nursery building earlier this month.
The nursery will reopen to the public on Monday (30 June).
Although the nursery will only be open initially between the hours of 11.00am and 2.00pm during weekdays and Saturdays, the Council says that this signals a positive outcome for the future of the nursery after it was set ablaze by arsonists in the early hours of Saturday 14 June.
While assessors are continuing to evaluate the extent of the damage to the main building, the glass out-houses will be fully accessible and stocked with a variety of blooms, including a range of plants, hanging baskets and large decorative displays.
Council Cabinet member for environment and sustainability, Councillor Wera Hobhouse, enthused: “It was my first priority to make Bowlee Nursery open to the public as soon as possible.
“People come from all over the borough and beyond to this nursery, and our people have worked so hard to make sure it gets back to business."
