Who knew museums could be so egg-citing?!
Date published: 17 April 2015
Rochdale Pioneers Museum held a Victorian Easter Fair on Wednesday (15 April).
A fun event for all of the family, children took part in an Easter egg trail, played with Victorian toys and games and made an egg-head Pioneer of their own.
Jenny Mabbott, Manager of the museum, said: “It went really well; it was a very vibrant event.
“We ran an Easter egg trail where the children could learn facts about the museum, along with their chocolate Easter eggs.
“Then we played games from the Victorian times, such as hopscotch and cup and ball, which everyone enjoyed.
“Upstairs, we made our own little Pioneers from polystyrene cups and eggs, based on photographs of Pioneers we had up around the museum. They were able to decorate their egg-faces too.”
