Six foot snake found in bath
The six foot Northern Pine snake, which was discovered in a Rochdale bathroom, has been reunited with its owner, after TV celebrity Crocodile Joe helped bring the pair together.
After escaping seven months ago from its former home in Smithy Bridge, Rob the snake has finally been reunited with owner, Bradley Heywood, who came forward to claim the reptile.
Crocodile Joe has appeared on television programmes such as CBBC’s Blue Peter and Prank Patrol, BBC1’s Animal 24/7 and Animal Planet. He also has a ‘Reptile Educational Roadshow’ which travels through the UK visiting national pet shows, schools and colleges.
A spokesperson for Rochdale Police said: “We are very happy that the six foot snake that found its way into a Rochdale woman’s bathroom has been re-homed.”
Rob the snake was found by 16-year-old Hannah Marriott, who came across it on her radiator a few days ago. Her mum, Karen, dialled 999 after her daughter revealed the reptile was curled up on a bath mat on the radiator.
