Frank has the community spirit to clean up
Date published: 08 April 2015
Frank Allan, who runs local jet washing and wheelie bin cleaning firm Jet Blast & Maintenance, showed Littleborough's community spirit by spending part of his Easter Bank Holiday weekend cleaning up the bandstand in Hare Hill Park.
Mr Allan was disgusted to find out that mindless individuals had lit a campfire in the bandstand and left it a mess.
He took his jet washing equipment into the park and, with the help of Ashley Downes, cleaned up the mess.
Mr Allan said: "Being a local family we take our grandsons to Hare Hill Park regularly. I was disappointed yet again to hear the bandstand had been vandalised."
"Our eldest grandson is two and loves not just the park but to be able to go onto the bandstand and play his imaginary games - as do lots of young children, especially as its now half term and lots of people will be using the park."
"I have been inspired by the hard work of the local community and Friends of Hare Hill Park in making the area a better place to live for everyone and visitors. So, since I have the equipment for the job, I thought I would lend a hand and do my bit for the community with the help of Ashley."
