Forest Fun at Hollingworth Lake Visitor Centre
Date published: 06 April 2015
Nature Ed threw a Forest Fun egg trail on Easter Sunday (5 April) at Hollingworth Lake Visitor Centre.
Accompanied by their trail leader, Jude Murray, under the clear blue skies and sun of Littleborough, children from the ages of seven to 11 and their families participated in Easter-themed activities, such as nest-building and egg decorating.
Jude said: “Today we’ve had a walk with an introduction of Spring theme, where we looked at flowers such as daffodils and bluebells. We’ve looked at bird nests and they had a chance at building their own, using clothes pegs as bird beaks.
“We’ve had an enjoyable time decorating eggs and doing some egg rolling races down the hill. Our game, scrambled eggs was a favourite, and it was fun for all the family.
“Nature Ed runs activities at the Visitor Centre once a month, where it’s wonderful to see so many children getting involved with nature.”
