Easter fun at Fire Museum
Date published: 06 April 2015
The Fire Museum held a Family Open Day on Easter Sunday (5 April).
The event consisted of stalls and refreshments, with a funfair, bouncy castle and face painting, as well as an Easter Egg Hunt where the children were able to celebrate Easter whilst viewing all the museum attractions.
Bob Bonner, a museum member of staff and co-organiser of the event, said: “We run a different theme every month and this time we clashed with Easter so we thought it would be a good opportunity to get the kids involved with the museum.
“The kids are enjoyed the egg hunt, where they have to complete a quest to find Easter eggs which contained a fact about the museum. It keeps them interested in its history.
"They also liked the fire engine bouncy castle and ringing the bell on an actual fire engine.”
The money raised from the event will help towards maintaining the museum.
