Sudden and Brimrod Community Centre held an Easter Fayre on Saturday (4 April) to raise money for repairs.
The event included stalls such as books, accessories and clothes, games including hook a duck, a tombola and a raffle and food, including popcorn and cupcakes.
Centre Manager Tasneen Shahzad said: “We need to raise money for the repairs that we need to get done. Also, we are one of the smallest community centres in Rochdale, so it also about letting people know that we are here and letting them find out a bit more about us.”
Repairs to the centre will cost around £1,000.
“We don’t have a fund raising total set, so whatever we get would be great. Altogether we need £1,000 but that will probably come from a number of events,” added Tasneen.
Tasneen now hopes to hold events every quarter to raise money and raise the profile of the centre.
