Line dancing for charity

Date published: 04 April 2015

‘Just for Fun Line Dancers’ held a Line Dance Social, at St Paul’s Parish Hall, Norden and raised £1,000 for Cancer Research UK.

The money was raised from their social and weekly line dance classes which ran from January to March.

In addition to dancing, there was a raffle and a pie and peas supper.

Winnie Tomlinson, speaking on behalf of ‘Just for Fun Line Dancers’, said: “We chose Cancer Research UK in memory of the husband of one of the group members.

“Many thanks to all who supported the event. The evening was a swinging success and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.”
