Anita Manning films at Pioneers Museum
Crew from the BBC2 show Antiques Road Trip recently visited the Rochdale Pioneers Museum to look at the story of the Rochdale Equitable Pioneers Society and its importance to the modern co-operative movement.
On their visit to the historic building where the Pioneers set up shop for the first time in 1844 the film crew, with antiques expert Anita Manning, were interested in the way the Society recorded what they did in the minute book, and the way in which the Pioneers’ famous visitors’ book showed the national and international interest shown in the Pioneers from an early stage.
The programme will be broadcast in the autumn.
