Car seized in ANPR operation

An Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) operation in Middleton resulted in a car being seized for the driver not having insurance, plus over 20 tickets were issued for various offences, including not wearing a seat belt and being on a mobile phone whilst driving.
Held on Friday (27 March), Neighbourhood officers carried out the operation on Middleton Road and Manchester Old Road.
A spokesperson for Middleton Police said: “This is good work by neighbourhood officers.”
