Date published: 11 March 2008

Rochdale Magistrates have gavin Dexter Elliott of 22 Barleyfield Walk, Middleton a two-year Anti Social Behaviour Order.

Dexter, aged 21 years, has been involved in a catalogue of anti social behaviour and criminal activity on the Barleyfield estate and around Middleton. The behaviour included congregating in large groups, rowdy behaviour, verbal abuse, graffiti, threatening and violent behaviour and harassment and intimidation.

Following reports of nuisance from local residents, housing staff and Police, the Rochdale Boroughwide Housing’s Legal Services and Enforcement Team worked closely with them to collect evidence and secure the Order.

The Anti Social Behaviour Order prohibits Elliott from:

  • Entering or attempting to enter the area of Barleyfield estate save for access to his home address.
  • Encouraging or inciting others to carry out any of the prohibited acts on his behalf

Dexter Elliott has caused extensive harassment, alarm and distress to residents of the Barleyfield Estate for a number of years. The Order has been sought to protect the people of Middleton from further acts of anti social behaviour by him.

Inspector Gary Hall of Middleton Police requests that any member of the public aware of Elliott breaching this order should contact the Police on 0161 872 5050.
