A fashion show involving posh frox, high heels and pigtails has raised money for Springhill Hospice.

Held today (Sunday 22 March) at Milnrow Cricket Club, the event brought together The Secret Ladieswear and The Shoe Closet from Littleborough with Images Hair from Milnrow for a special event, all in aid of the hospice.

Organiser Andrea Ashworth said: “My in laws were at the hospice last year and they sadly died so following that I thought about doing an event to raise money for the hospice.

“I thought this type of event would be good because it is a chance to bring businesses together and to act as a networking event as well.”

As well as a fashion show, guests were treated to fizz on arrival, canapés and cupcakes, raffles, games and goody bags.

Guests could also have their hair done by Images Hair. Up dos and styles were being demonstrated as well as tips on what to do with eyebrows without waxing or plucking.

Andrea added: “We don’t have a fundraising total set but whatever we get will be brilliant.”

Milnrow Cricket Club was packed with guests in attendance for the event and based on the success, Andrea is hoping to hold more in the future.

“We are hopefully looking at doing an event in Rochdale and getting even more people involved,” said Andrea.
