21% of schools across the Borough of Rochdale recognised as outstanding

Data released by OFSTED shows that 21%, 19 out of 89, of schools inspected across Rochdale Borough have been rated as outstanding.
Following the inspections, 54 were rated as good and 15 required improvement with only one school rated as inadequate.
Neighbouring Bury had 82 schools inspected with 16 schools rated as outstanding, 53 as good, 12 required improvement and one was rated as inadequate.
Throughout the North West, 3,128 schools were inspected with 706 rated as outstanding, 1,948 as good, 298 needed improvement and 76 were rated as inadequate.
