Hollingworth Academy
Hollingworth Academy has been awarded the Bronze level accreditation from the Fair Train organisation, for its work experience programme.
We are only the fifth school nationally to achieve accreditation, and this underlines the importance that we place on work / life skills.
Fair Train is an organisation that promotes work skills, and assesses work experience in the business world.
The Bronze level is the highest level that a school can gain. We believe it is important to help our pupils to gain employability skills, and to have an idea of the job finding process. Over 200 pupils take part in the programme every year.
Work Experience takes place in the late summer of Year 10, when pupils have moved into their Year 11 tutor groups ready for September.
Congratulations to the following pupils who, over the last week, have achieved an average of 85% in their Accelerated Reader Quizzes:
Charlotte Boden, Hamish Bruce, Joseph Frater, Lauren George, Saahil Armaan Hafeez, Ellie Hopkins, Megan Horner, Jack Leech, Sohair Mahmood, Adnan Nasir, Mohammed Nur, Christopher Pickup, Helena Ramos, Mohammed Rashid, Katie Ratcliffe, Jessica Sharp, Jessica Thomson, Sophie Topham, Eva Warren, Lourdes Wellens, Libby Williams, Hamnah Noor Khan, Max Johnson, Andrew Chisnall, Sophie Greenwood, Holly Copping, Rumaan Hanif, Amelia Homer, Isabelle Hoyle, Noor Al Hassan Khan, Alfie Lloyd-Jones, Mason Melvin, Keelan Shipley, David Strand & Jarell Wallace.
