Valerie White’s support for Milkstone and Deeplish Area Forum acknowledged

Members and residents thanked Valerie White, Rochdale Township’s Senior Officer, who serviced Milkstone and Deeplish Area Forum for many years.

After a lively debate, Val was presented with an award in recognition of her services and work to support local residents and community organisations for long time.

She also introduced new township officer, Gary Finch, who will be taking over to service the Area Forum in future meetings.

Sohail Ahmad, Chairman of the Area Forum, thanked Val  for all her help and support over the years. He siad: "We have dealt with many complex and difficult issues and matters over the years and resolved them as and when they arose to serve in the best interests of the local community."

Councillor Mohammed Zaman, Councillor Samina Zaheer and Councillor Terry Linden, also present in the meeting, expressed their appreciation of the support Val has given to them directly and to the Area Forum.

Ahmed Nawaz, Vice Chairman of the Area Forum and Hafiz Ikram, a local community representative, also thanked Val for her continued support and updates on local community matters affecting local community.

Tracey Anderton, Police and Community Support Officer, presented detailed information to update all residents and explain how extra support is available in reducing crimes, reporting crimes and increasing safety for all.
