A group of cyclists have raised £2,145 for Springhill Hospice after completing a bike ride from Blackpool Tower to the Oxford Pub, Rochdale. Money was raised for the Hospice in memory of Christine Melia, who was treated so well at Springhill until she died last year. Her husband Steve has dedicated all of his spare time to fundraising for the Hospice.
This weekend, Charlotte Keating will be taking part in a parachute jump for the Hospice.
The Mother’s Day Tea event at the Tea Rooms is fully booked.
Woman of Rochdale
The fundraising team have started to receive nominations for this year’s Woman of Rochdale. The closing date for nominations is Friday 27 March.
Go Green for Springhill
Go Green Day will this year take place on Friday 15 May 2015. The fundraising team are asking Rochdale to go green for the day and raise money for Springhill
Hospice.
So far 15 pledges have been made by local businesses and residents.

Springhill Hospice Spring Fair
Springhill Hospice will open its doors to the community for their annual Spring Fair on Sunday 22 March. The event has new stalls both inside and out and offers a lovely family day out for a fantastic cause.
Sunday 26 April
Hospice to Hospice Walk
So far over 70 walkers have signed up to take part in the circular 7.35 mile route, which sets off from Spring Hill Hospice, stopping off for refreshments at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice in Oldham, whilst supporters from Dr Kershaw’s Hospice, set off from Oldham, calling in at Springhill Hospice.
Sunday 7 June
Springhill Hospice Country Fete
The Hospice are holding a traditional country fete which will include a variety of things including a dog show, donkey rides, circus workshops, a traditional fair,
coconut shy’s, home bake and much more.
