Springhill Hospice Go Green fundrasing packs
Following the success of Go Green for Springhill Hospice last year, the Hospice is now asking people to go greener.
This year Go Green Day will be held on Friday 15 May and the fundraising team are asking for local businesses, schools and community members to turn Rochdale green for the day.
Last year the event raised £11,000 for Springhill Hospice.
Community Fundraiser Lillie Winterbottom said: “This year we are going greener for Springhill. We have had pledges of support from many of those who took part last year and have received pledges of support from new schools and businesses this year. We are really looking forward to it.”
This year’s fundraising packs include information on how to raise money for the Hospice and a competition to win £50.
A map of Rochdale is going to be split into squares and people involved will be invited to put their name on a square. At the end of the Go Green Day, a square will be scratched off and the winner will win £50 with £50 also going back to the Hospice.
Other things going on this year include fortune tellers, pin badges for sale and car flags being made so you can show your support whilst driving around the borough.
