Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team (RPMRT) would like to thank the family of the late Heath Nield for their generosity following his death last year.
The Team carried out numerous searches for Heath following his disappearance in July last year from his home in Bacup.
Heath's body was found approximately a month later by a member of the public in Whitworth.
Following the funeral, Heath's mother, Christine, arranged for the friends and family of Heath to donate money to the Team in Heath's memory. They have donated £735 which has been handed over to the team.
Team Leader, Pete Goble, commented: "In this time of sadness for Heath's family and friends we would like to express our condolences for their loss and our extreme gratitude for donating this sum which will make a huge difference to the Team."
Jon, Heath's brother, commented: "A massive thanks to The Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team for all of their help and support in the search for my brother Heath Nield and for all the people who donated at the funeral where over 500 of friends and family attended to pay their respects."
