Department for Work and Pensions moving record storage to Heywood
Date published: 19 February 2015
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is moving storage of records to Heywood.
The DWP currently has a number of records stored at a Lisahally Processing Unit in Derry, as well as Heywood, but this move will see all records centralised and in one location.
The move is in line with a DWP strategy to move all remote storage across Great Britain to Heywood, commencing on 1 April 2015.
A DWP Spokesman said: “The vast majority of DWP paper records are currently stored in Heywood stores and we are bringing other records in line with this to create a more efficient and effective service.”
