Police urge people to only call 999 in emergency
Date published: 09 February 2015
UPDATE: Technical issues with 999 now resolved. Normal service resumed. Thank you for your patience.
------------------------------------
Greater Manchester Police call handlers are currently (11:00am Monday 09/02/2015) experiencing technical difficulties with the emergency call phone line.
BT is currently investigating and their engineers are working alongside our engineers to resolve the issue.
We would urge people to only call 999 in emergency and avoid calling 101 until we return to normal service.
