Fire at Tesco Heywood in November 2014
The Tesco Express on York Street, Heywood, which was damaged by fire last year, is due to reopen soon.
Work has begun with the hope of it being reopened at the end of February or the beginning of March.
Recent building work has seen temporary traffic lights in place on York Street with the first unit and foundations being installed over recent weeks.
Tesco spokesperson Mark Thomas said, "We're working hard to make sure we can serve customers again from our store on York Street. The store shell is now in place."
The store was damaged by fire in a suspected arson attack in November 2014. The blaze broke out in the shop area of the garage before spreading to the rest of the building and causing extensive damage.
