Recruitment fair to offer sport and leisure opportunities

People interested in employment in the sports and leisure industry in Rochdale are being encouraged to attend a recruitment fair this Saturday (28 June).
The event will run from 2.30pm to 4.30pm at Middleton Leisure Centre and is hosted by Link4Life, who provide leisure and cultural services for Rochdale Council.
Emma Shaw Human Resources Manager said: “Link4Life is committed to equal opportunities and welcome expressions of interest from all sections of our community. This event will have information and advice about various jobs within the leisure industry. The recruitment fair is an excellent opportunity for people to find out what is on offer and take that first step towards an exciting new career."
Link4Life has a number of jobs within its sports & leisure industry including: fitness assistants, leisure attendants, swimming teachers, sports coaches and life guards. Link4Life has been the name for leisure and cultural services in Rochdale since April 2007 when services transferred from Rochdale Council into a Rochdale Boroughwide Cultural Trust. The Trust is providing these services on behalf of Rochdale Council under a formal 15 year partnership agreement, managing four services: arts & heritage, entertainment, fitness & health and sport & leisure.
Link4life’s aim is to plan and manage the delivery of high quality, enjoyable, affordable, accessible cultural provision in the Borough of Rochdale that gives residents and visitors the opportunity to lead the healthy, creative, active lifestyle of their choice.
