The Keating family with Fowler Welch employees
The Keating family has raised a staggering £2,292.06 for Springhill Hospice and paid a visit to the Hospice last week to hand over the grand total.
Having previously raised £1,500 after holding a bring and buy sale, the family put the icing on the cake by topping up their fundraising with a further £792.06.
This time to raise the money, Sean Holleran approached his work colleagues at Fowler Welch in Heywood to see if they would help. The team at Fowler Welch were only too pleased to help.
Eamonn McCullock masterminded a huge cake sale and Helen Broomhead sorted out two flights with Jet2 for an auction.
Money raised by the family for the Hospice has been in memory of Anne Keating’s father, Roy Fletcher, who died at home on 13 November 2014. He was cared for the by the Hospice at Home nurses.
