Fire at house in Bamford

Fire fighters tackled a fire at a large detached house in Bittern Close, Bamford in the early hours of this morning (Sunday 25 January).
Two engines from Rochdale and two from Heywood attended.
It is understood the property was empty at the time and no one was injured.
Fire crews and police remained at the scene throughout the day and carried out door-to-door inquiries appealing for information.
