Date published: 25 January 2015
Heywood councillors Liam O’Rourke and Peter Rush have praised a visit to Heywood from Police and Crime Commissioner Tony Lloyd.
Mr Lloyd paid a visit to Heywood last week to discuss policing issues throughout Heywood and to take questions from members of the public.
Councillor Liam O’Rourke said: “It was an excellent meeting that was conducted very well. He talked about localising the police but didn’t make any false
promises.”
Councillor Peter Rush, who previously complained to the council regarding the lack of policing in Heywood said: “It was a good meeting and we discussed a lot of issues in Heywood, including Heywood Police Station.”
