Brian Slater missing from home

Police are growing concerned for the whereabouts of a man who has gone missing from home in Middleton.

Brian Slater, aged 59 has been missing from his home address on Lark Hill Court in Middleton.

He was last seen by his son at around 8pm on Wednesday 14 January 2015.

Mr Slater was last seen wearing a parka style long green coat with a hood, blue jeans, blue suede Adidas trainers with red stripes and no top on underneath the jacket.

Detective Constable Andrew Robinson from Middleton police station, said: “Mr Slater has not taken his medication and has not been to his local chemist to collect his new prescription, which may mean he could have become confused and may seem confused to the public.

“We have followed numerous lines of enquiry with his family, his friends and associates but have not been able to find Mr Slater.

“He is known to walk along the River Irk bank and follow the river and also likes to walk around the Rhodes lodges area of Middleton.

“We are very concerned for his welfare and wellbeing due to the very poor weather conditions and the cold spell.

“If anybody has seen or know the whereabouts of Mr Slater please contact the police immediately via 101, or ring Middleton Police Station on 0161 856 8701.”
