Rochdale Environmental Action Group (REAG) has been shortlisted for the national award 'The Big Tidy Up Award'.
Ghulam Rasul Shahzad OBE, Secretary of REAG, said: “REAG members are thankful to everyone and particularly to Rochdale Council's Environment Service, councillors, businesses, residents and supporters of the aims and objectives of the group.
“Being one of the finalists and putting Rochdale's name on the national agenda is itself an achievement on a national level.”
Organised by the Keep Britain Tidy Jubilee Awards, finalists will be attending the ‘Keep Britain Tidy Jubilee Awards luncheon’ in Liverpool on Thursday 12 February.
Set up in 2012, REAG has previously received an award for their work in the category of Faith and Community at the 2013 Diversity Awards.
