Students crawl to great heights for Children In Need

Date published: 14 January 2015

Students Rachel Warbutons and friends Hayden and Megan raised £129.57 by crawling upstairs, dressed in novelty onsies.

The Rochdale Sixth Form College students wanted to do something a little different to raise money for charity, which proved very popular with students and teachers alike.

The onsie clad trio managed to crawl all the way to the top of the multi-story building, supported by a host of fellow students on each floor, cheering them along and taking photos to document the occasion.

The money will contribute towards an incredible total of £32,620,469 raised for this year’s Children In Need.

Rachel Warburtons said “I think Children in Need is a really worthy cause and I thought this would be a fun way for us to raise money. It’s not every day you get to crawl around college in a monkey onsie.”
