Timber shed fire in Heywood

Fire crews from Heywood and Rochdale were called to a fire in a timber shed at an address on Holland Street, Heywood this morning (Tuesday 13 January).
Crews were called to the scene at 3.11am to a “well lit” fire. At the time of the fire, a car and a trailer were in the shed as well as a propane cylinder.
Crews had to use a jet to cool the cylinder following their safety protocols and used two hoses to bring the fire under control.
Those on site stopped the fire from spreading to another van and garage outside.
Crews were on site for around 90 minutes.
