Manchester Road closed at its junction with Tweedale Street due to car accident

Manchester Road is currently closed at its junction with Tweedale Street due to a two vehicle car accident.
Police were called to the scene just after 1.00pm and closed the road at 1:45pm this afternoon (Tuesday 13 January).
An 82 year old female passenger has been taken to The Royal Oldham Hospital for treatment.
A Skoda Octavia and a Vauxhall Corsa were involved in the accident which blocked the road.
The accident has caused a disruption to traffic in the area.
