Bringing festive cheer to tenants

Tenants in nine sheltered schemes across the Borough enjoyed the festive cheer as employees from Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) donned their Christmas outfits and visited to sing carols and offer mulled wine and mince pies.

RBH employees from across the organisation visited Saxon House and Olive Standring Court in Littleborough, Thistleyfield in Milnrow, Low Bank in Smallbridge, Yew Court and Falinge Mews in Rochdale, and Norman Weall Court, Threlkeld Court and Chisholm Court in Middleton,

Jo Reed, RBH Deputy Head of Finance, said: "We had a wonderful and I’m pleased we were able to bring some festive cheer to our sheltered tenants. The costumes were fantastic, especially Javed Choudry who brought his Rudolph costume to life.”

Elaine Taylor, RBH Learning and Development Advisor, said: "We all had a fabulous time and I hope that our tenants enjoyed the day as much as we did.”

Daniel Turner, RBH Volunteering Co-ordinator, said: "I'm very grateful to all the employees who volunteered to take part. It was a great opportunity to spread Christmas cheer and spend some time with our residents"
