Wombles of Rochdale feed the homeless

Date published: 24 December 2014

After helping collect clothes for the homeless, online group Wombles of Rochdale have now gone on to help feed the homeless.

The group held a meal for the homeless at Shelly B’s Café on Sunday (21 December). A three course meal was provided with goodies also provided to take away.

June Murphy from Wombles of Rochdale said: “What an amazing heartfelt day we all had feeding the homeless. Every single person who walked through the door was ever so grateful for the simple things in life we just take for granted.”

All left over food has been taken to local hostels.
