Neelam Khan and Habibah Chowdhury take a giant leap for charity

Date published: 24 December 2014

Neelam Khan and Habibah Chowdhury took part in a reverse bungee jump to raise money for The Christie Hospital.

Neelam and Habibah, who work at Specsavers on Yorkshire Street, took the plunge in Rochdale town centre to support a bid to raise funds for specialist cancer treatment equipment in the hospital’s new patient treatment centre.

Neelam commented: "We really wanted to take part in fundraising for a worthy local cause and the reverse bungee jump seemed like a fun and different way to raise funds for The Christie.

"I was a bit nervous about doing such a big jump but it was a fantastic experience and I’d happily do it all over again."

The pair, who said they thoroughly enjoyed taking a giant leap, raised nearly £250.
