Lower Falinge Activity Group pantomime trip

Date published: 23 December 2014

The children of Lower Falinge enjoyed an afternoon at the pantomime on Monday (22 January).

Volunteers from Lower Falinge Activity Group took the children from Junior Wardens and the Homework Club to see Aladdin at the Heywood Civic Centre.

Andy Littlewood, chairman of Lower Falinge Activity Group said: “This is the second year we have run an outing to the Christmas pantomime and we hope to continue this annual event. The children had a wonderful time and so did the staff, as I could hear them joining in with the children.

”I would like to thank the volunteers of the Activity Group who gave up their afternoon to supervise the children, and would also like to thank Sue Kershaw and Nasreen Akhtar from Rochdale Boroughwide Housing, who also volunteered their services. Without volunteers, we could not provide the activities which we do.

“It has been a successful 12 months at the Activity Group and we look forward to continuing this success into 2015.

"On behalf of the Activity Group, I would like to wish all our members a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous and Happy New Year.”
